Traditional Horchata is made with rice in Mexico and Chufa (tiger nuts) in Spain. This post will share with you my unique and tropical twist on this favorite drink. Here is my recipe for Thieves Coconut Horchata

Ingredients

  • 2 quarts filtered water

Directions

Combine water, rice, coconut, vanilla, Thieves and 1/4 cup of maple syrup in a large glass container. Stir to combine then refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight. Pour mixture into blender. Blend until smooth. Strain mixture through a sieve, cheesecloth or nut bag into a large pitcher and discard pulp. Serve coconut horchata over ice and sprinkle with cinnamon (optional). Because Young Living’s Thieves Oils is therapeutic grade Essential Oils it is safe for consumption! Click here to learn how to order some for yourself to make some Thieves Coconut Horchata!
