As a homeschooling mom I am always looking to help my kids learn while having fun. It’s a great way for us to be able to get through the days always learning, without the struggle that can sometimes occur with traditional lessons. I love it because my kids can have fun and think they are playing a game, while they are actually learning something. Here is a list of some of our favorite fun and educational homeschool games for elementary school kids!
Our Favorite Fun and Educational Homeschool Games
Zap – (where to buy) This is a great game to help with math! My kids love playing this game
Bananagrams – (where to buy) This is basically scrabble without a board. It’s a fun game for the entire family. It’s great for teaching spelling.
Story Cubes – (where to buy) This is great for building imagination and encouraging writing skills. My kids love playing this game and I love it because it makes writing time a breeze! The kids roll the dice and get ideas to use their own imagination to create a fun story.
Scrambled States of America – (where to buy) This game is great for teaching about the United States. It helps the kids learn information like location, capital name, nick name, and other fun tidbits about each state. It’s a fun way to learn geography.
Madlibs – (where to buy) My kids love playing Madlibs. It’s a great way for them to use their imagination and create silly sentences by choosing their own nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, etc. to create fun stories. The laughing is abundant when my kids are playing this game, they almost forget they are doing language work.
Cue Coding Robot – (where to buy) This makes coding fun and easy to learn! Kids can learn simple patterns and coding to control this robot. It’s a great STEM learning tool that kids enjoy. Their website has lots of educational curriculum info for you to teach your kids coding without having any coding experience!
