We all know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but did you know that many of the commercial brand cereals are loaded with sugar, preservatives, additives and contain GMO ingredients. YUCK! But don’t worry! You can make your own cereal with healthy, real food ingredients that will nourish and fuel the body, in a matter of minutes. I am going to share with you my favorite healthy homemade cereal recipe.

Healthy Homemade Cereal recipe

This healthy, homemade cereal recipe is so easy to make. I prepare a big batch and save it in a glass mason jar where it will last at least a month, but my kids will finish it much before that!

First, Pre-heat the oven to 325 degrees. Pour all ingredients together in a bowl and mix with a wooden spoon. Once everything is thoroughly mixed you can place on a cookie sheet and bake for 5-10 minutes. Make sure to keep on eye on it and make sure the granola doesn’t burn. Once it’s all cooked the mixture should be stuck together. The coconut oil and gelatin allow the ingredients to stick together. You can break apart the granola pieces into sizes you desire. Serve as a snack mix, over yogurt or with milk as a traditional cereal. My kids love it with my homemade dairy-free milk, which is super easy to make at home. You can see that recipe here.
