Mediterranean Bowls

I love making simple, delicious, and healthy recipes that the whole family loves. One of my favorite things about this dish is that everyone can customize it to their liking. It’s one of my kid’s favorites and they request it often. It’s pretty simple and makes for great leftovers. I’m excited to share with you my Mediterranean bowls.

Mediterranean Style Lamb

  • Olive Oil
  • Diced Garlic
  • Ground Lamb
  • Turmeric
  • Cumin
  • Cinnamon
  • Raisins
  • Salt & Pepper

Add oil to a skillet and garlic, ground lamb, seasonings, and other ingredients and cook thoroughly. The cinnamon and raisins are optional but add a really yummy, savory flavor to the dish.

Turmeric Rice

  • Bone Broth
  • Turmeric Powder
  • Black Pepper
  • Rice

I use bone broth to flavor my rice and to add nutrients. You can click here to read more. Cook rice normally and add turmeric for color and flavoring and a dash of black pepper.

Toppings

What I love about Mediterranean Bowls are you can add pretty much whatever toppings you wish! Here are some of our favorites:

  • Cucumber
  • Cherry Tomatoes
  • Hummus
  • Tzatziki Sauce
  • Pita Bread
  • Greek Olives
  • Scallions
  • Fresh Mint
  • Pickled Red Onions

Create Your Bowl

Now it’s time to create your bowl. First, add the rice, then the lamb meat, and any and all toppings of your choice! It’s perfect because everyone can custom make their bowl based on their taste. These Mediterranean Bowls easy to make, fresh, and perfect for a warm summy day! Enjoy!
