Antioxidant Facial Serum

I love making my own homemade skin products. After learning more about products and ingredients, there are so many toxins in commercial brands that have no place on the human body. Our skin is our largest organ so it is important to be mindful what we put on. This homemade antioxidant facial serum is easy to make and literally makes your skin GLOW! Here is my recipe!

I love coconut oil! To eat, to cook with to wear! Seriously, its all-purpose and I love it. Make sure it’s organic non-refined virgin coconut oil (where-to-buy). It’s a staple in my house and I have a tub in the kitchen and one in the bathroom for beauty products. It also made my Medicine Cabinet Must Have list! It is the base I use for most of my products, including this anti-oxidant facial serum.

Benefits of Coconut Oil for skin

  • Moisturizes skin
  • Antioxidant
  • Soothes skin infections
I also love essential oils. I recommend Therapeutic Grade essential oils. I use Young Living which you can learn more about here.  Below are the oils I use in my antioxidant facial serum recipe and their benefits.

Benefits of Oregano Essential Oil for skin

  • Anti-aging properties
  • Antioxidant
  • Immune Booster

*Warning- This is considered a “HOT” oil. Always make sure to dilute prior to applying to skin as it can burn.

Benefits of Orange Essential Oil for skin

  • Maintain Smooth, Glowing Skin
  • Antioxidant
  • Anti-aging properties

*Warning- This is a photosensitive oil. Be cautions when exposed to the sun within 24 hours of using this oil.

Homemade Antioxidant Facial Serum

  • 2 ounces of Organic Coconut Oil (Where to Buy)
  • 4 Drops of Oregano Essential Oil
  • 4 Drops of Orange Essential Oil

Mix the carrier oil and essential oils in a glass bottle with a pump (where to buy). Apply to face as needed. This high concentration of active ingredients contains a potent dose of anti-aging and antioxidant ingredients. A small amount goes a long way and should last for several weeks. The coconut oil will harden in colder temperatures so you may need to heat up the jar under warm water or place a small amount and warm up in the hands before applying. My face feels so smooth and soft and healthy since using this antioxidant facial serum.
