Hormone imbalance can cause PMS, menstrual problems, fertility, fatigue and mood swings. Many women are unaware that they suffer from hormone imbalance and those that do have little information on how they can help to support their hormones naturally. I have been taking measures to incorporate natural hormone support into my regimen and this is one of my favorites. Here is how you can nourish yourself with a hormone supporting bath. I recommend using pure therapeutic grade essential oils when looking to support hormones naturally. Click here to learn more about pure therapeutic grade essential oils and where to get them.
Hormone Supporting Bath
- Epsom Salts (where to buy)
- Lavender oil
- Geranium oil
- Patchouli oil
- Thyme oil
A great way to support the hormones is with a aromatherapy mineral bath. This hormone supporting bath is very simple, yet effective. The magnesium from the Epsom salts helps the body in over 300 bodily functions, including balancing, which you can read more in my post HERE.
Essential oils also do wonders for hormone balancing. If you do not have all the oils a blend of any will work. These oils help to create a hormone balancing bath with the following beneficial properties:
Lavender– Helps to restore hormones, can prevent and may be helpful in supporting a healthy bladder and urinary tract system. Inhaling lavender oil reduces stress and stimulates the adrenal glands.
Geranium– This oil is helpful to increase fertility and to ease pain from endometriosis. It also helps to alleviate fluids caused by edema.
Patchouli– Acts as an aphrodisiac and is helpful in aiding with sexual problems such as loss of libido. This oil is used for grounding and reducing mood swings and irratibility.
Thyme– This oil supports natural progresterone production. It reduces fatigue, depression and enhances memory.
