I was trying to think of cute gifts to send out to Circle members and happened across a company that had something similar included in their tasting kit. It inspired me to create something myself to send out. These are super simple and easy to make. It only takes a few minutes to finish each one. You can use any cork, but obviously I used Scout & Celler for marketing/promoting purposes. I ordered the rest of the supplies on Amazon Prime.

DIY Cork Keychains

This is one of the easiest crafts I’ve done in awhile. Luckily, I did have some jewelry tools on hand to make closing the jump rings (included in the keychain supplies) easier. I found lots of DIY tutorials on Pinterest too! Here are the step by step instructions and a quick video I put together.

How to make your cork keychains:

  1. Take the eye screw and screw partway into the top of your cork. Unscrew and add a bit of gorilla glue. Then re-screw the eye screw all the way into the glue/cork. This will make sure the keychain is secure,
  2. Next, add the jump ring and the end of the keychain and fasten the jump ring.
  3. On the bottom of the cork add another eye screw. I didn’t add glue to this end because it’s not going to have the same weight on it as the keychain potentially could, but you can add glue if you want to be extra careful.
  4. Add another jump ring with a tassel and secured that jump ring to finish it off.

This was a super fun, cute and easy craft and I can’t wait to make more! You can get creative with the bottom of the cork adding cord, beads, etc. I saw lots of different ideas on Pinterest that I saved here.

Have Fun!
