Moroccan inspired dessert

It was a typical evening and my hubby and I were exchanging reflexology massages. As always he was in control of the remote and hopping through the channels when we came across Anthony Bourdain. I love his show! He was traveling in Morocco and it just looked absolutely beautiful, a place I have always wanted to visit. And the food looks so amazing, the fresh ingredients were so simple yet so flavorful. One Moroccan dessert in particular quickly made it’s way to my “Must Make” list, and I knew it would have to be in the very near future!

About two weeks later I had all the ingredients on hand and decided to try that Morroccan dessert recipe that had been on my mind since I saw it. I found this version on Mediterraneo, but of course, by nature, I always throw a different little spin on my recipes.

Moroccan Dessert Recipe:

  • Organic Fresh Strawberries
  • Pine Nuts
  • Organic Raw Honey (where to buy)
  • Ground Cinnamon
  • Lemon Juice
Wash and slice the strawberries and arrange on a dish. Sprinkle with pine nuts. In a bowl add some honey as a dressing. I used about 3 tablespoons of honey with a couple dashes of cinnamon and the juice of about 1/4 a small lemon. Just enough to thin out the honey dressing.

It came out AMAZING and the hubby and kids loved it! It was so refreshing and light and is perfect for a Spring or Summer day. Honestly, I would even give this to my kids as a snack because it was so simple, healthy and delicious. It would be a great side dish for brunch too! I can’t wait to make this again!
