While many people think that local, organic and sustainable food is expensive hasn’t priced the cost of illness and disease that is associated with poor diet. Doctors visits, prescriptions, hospital visits all come with a cost, not to mention how you feel day in and day out. It’s no secret that those who eat better foods feel, look and generally are healthier than those that don’t. Diet also plays a factor in how we feel. Eating processed foods is taxing on the liver which causes us to become sluggish and depressed. Making an effort to eat fresh, local organic fruits and veggies and grass-fed or pastured meats will make a difference in overall health and well-being.
