As the weather gets colder hot cocoa is a favorite treat in our house to warm up! My homemade healthy version is so easy to make and is guilt free, refined sugar free, dairy free and loaded with healthy nutritious superfoood ingredients! Here is my recipe for homemade Dairy-Free Hot Cocoa!
Superfood Dairy-Free Hot Cocoa Recipe
- 3 cups Coconut Milk (learn how easy it is to make your own!)
- 2 tbs Pure Maple Syrup (where to buy)
- 1 tbs Unsweetened Cocoa (where to buy)
- 1 tsp Ground Turmeric (where to buy)
- 2 tbs Powdered Gelatin – collagen hydrolysate (where to buy)
How to make: Warm up the milk in a pot, once warmed add all the other ingredients and mix. Serve warmed.
My kids love this easy, homemade, healthy version and I happily oblige as I can feel good about giving them something loaded with nutrients disguised as a treat that they enjoy! This version of dairy-free hot cocoa is SO easy to make with coconut milk, but you can make it with any dairy free milk as well as organic milk or raw milk! It is loaded with the benefits of gelatin and turmeric giving it a nutritional boost. Enjoy!
