As the weather gets warmer it is common to be barefoot or wearing sandals, especially during the Spring and Summer months. Many women may be self-conscious of dried cracked heels or callous feet. This post will share with you my favorite DIY foot care recipes for soft and beautiful tootsies!

DIY Foot Care Recipes

These recipes use Therapeutic Essential Oils. To find out more about essential oils and where to get them you can click here.

Rejuvenating Foot Bath

  • 3 drops Sandalwood
  • 3 drops Black Pepper
  • 3 drops Spruce
  • 3 drops Geranium
  • 3 drops White Grapefruit
  • 1 teaspoon Coconut Oil (where to buy)

Foot Soak

  • 1 gallon Hot Water
  • 5 Chamomile tea bags (where to buy)
  • 4-6 drops Lavender oil
  • Rose petals (optional)

Pour hot water into a small tub, sink, or basin. A size not much larger than your feet is ideal. Add the chamomile and allow to steep for about 10 minutes. Add the Lavender oil and flower petals, then test temperature to make sure the water isn’t too hot. Soak your feet and enjoy!

Summer Foot Scrub

  • 1/4 cup Brown Sugar (where to buy)
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon Juice
  • 2 tablespoons Aloe Vera Gel (where to buy)
  • 1 teaspoon Fractionated Coconut Oil (where to buy)
  • 3 drops Orange oil
  • 2 drops Lavender oil

Stir all ingredients together until you have a smooth paste. Massage 1 – 2 tablespoons of the scrub into each foot, focusing on rough areas, such as your heels. Store leftover  scrub in a clean jar with a tight fitting lid in a cool, dry, dark spot. Discard after 4 weeks.
