Back to school also means back to germs! Most parents focus on clothes and supplies when preparing for back to school, but what about natural back to school essentials?  For my kids I make it a priority to support their body systems weeks before they had back to school. This post will share with you my natural tips and tricks for natural back to school essentials to keep your kids healthy and happy and above the wellness line!

Natural Back to School Essentials

When it comes to getting my kids school ready It’s more than just new clothes and school supplies. For my family we focus on emotional and physical support as well. Of course I am all about natural methods and modalities to help out bodies to function properly. Here are some of the ways that we promote health and wellness with some of our natural back to school essentials.

Nutritional Support

We are what we eat, and what our kids eat is going to either help them or hurt them both mentally and physically. During Summer I am a little more relaxed on our eating and sleeping habits, but tend to reign it in and really focus on nutritional support because I know it’s so important for our body to function properly on all levels. Nutrition is so important for our bodies to function properly. Unfortunately due to minerals being depleted in the soil due to a high crop turnover means that we need to eat even more fruits and vegetables in order to get the essential vitamins and nutrients that our bodies need to achieve optimal wellness. Many parents would agree that getting kids to eat a full required amount of fruits and vegetables each day (2 servings of fruit, 3 servings of veggies) can be difficult. Supplementing with whole food nutritional capsules and/or gelatin chewables are a great way to make sure your little ones are getting the nutrition they need. They are great for adults too. Back to School Jitters

Regardless of what grade your child is starting, first day jitters can be a problem. For many kids it could be separating from their parents for the first time, for others it’s the fear of being the new kid on campus or moving into a higher grade brings the fear of the unknown. Luckily there are some natural ways that you can help to emotionally support your kid no matter how old they are! Immune System Support

I know for my kids we tend to get off schedule. We have long nights and tend to be a little more lax when it comes to our eating. We try to do our best, but we tend to focus on fun and enjoying the moment as much as we can and that can leave our immune system a little run down. No parent ever wants to get the dreaded letter! You know the one letting you know your child has been exposed to head lice. Here is a recipe for some healthy hair spray to help deter those pesky bugs. The quality of the essential oils will make a difference in the potency of this treatment. Commercial grade from health food stores will not have as effective results as a higher grade essential oils Here is the brand I recommend and use for my family.

Improve Concentration & Focus

Whether it’s during class or homework time it can sometimes be hard for kids to focus and concentrate at the task on hand. As a homeschooling mom I know first hand how hard it can be to get my kids to sit down without being distracted. I feel for your teachers who have 20+ kids in a class! My husband is an elementary school teacher and tells me all about his challenges throughout the day. I feel blessed to have a natural solution that has helped both me and my husband get through out day. How to Raise Your Vibration Naturally

 

Did you know that we all have our own vibrational frequency and we can both raise or lower or frequency? Our health, clarity of mind and also our mood and inner balance, depend very strongly, on the frequencies we are exposed to, or take into our body, by ways of food. This post is to share with you how to raise your vibration naturally.

Everything Has a Frequency

We live in a world of frequencies, vibration and energy. We are part of the whole system. Every cell of our body vibrates – everything has its optimal frequency.

Optimal frequency is when all is in order – when we are in balance, our vibration is in unison with the law of vibration – when we are in tune and each cell of our body vibrates at the frequency it was designed to… there is no effort, no conflict. Our thoughts are vibrations, too – we can change our perception by changing our frequency. Our thoughts make up our personal world.

It is so difficult to live with depression, headaches or chronic fatigue as it creates a state of being unwell, AKA dis-ease.

The Good News

Fortunately, you can actively make positive changes and raise your vibration naturally . One great place to start is to question your thoughts and beliefs. Question the concepts you live by and the emotions that control you.

When an individual is not well their body’s vibration lowers, the immune system weakens, and many invaders enter and stay in a person’s body. This can include parasites, worms, bacterial infections, viruses, and different types of fungus. These invaders not only affect the direct functioning of a body, but they also cause other problems since they unload many toxins into the human body daily. Today we are being exposed to many of these invaders frequently.

Unbalanced vibrations show themselves in many ways including discomfort, dis-ease, illness, fatigue, and a variety of different signs and symptoms. When the body is healthy is has a relatively high vibration, and this is reflected through the vibrations of individual cells, organs and the different body systems. When a person is not perfectly healthy the vibrations in the body are on a lower frequency.

Diet & Nutrition

Diet and nutrition is a very simple but effective way to raise your vibration naturally. Yes, even food has a vibrational energy that can have an impact on our own frequency. You have heard the old adage, “You are what you eat!” Well, simply put, it’s pretty accurate. If you are eating food with little to no frequency you are continually lowering your body’s energy.

Energy of Foods (fresh foods and herbs can be higher if grown organically and eaten freshly picked):

  • Fresh Foods 20-27 Hz
  • Fresh Herbs 20-27 Hz
  • Dried Foods 15-22 Hz
  • Dried Herbs 15-22 Hz
  • Processed/Canned Food 0 HZ…(the majority of food people eat)

According to Dr. Royal R. Rife, every disease has a frequency. He found that certain frequencies can prevent the development of disease and that others would destroy disease. Substances with higher frequency will destroy diseases of a lower frequency. The study of frequencies raises an important question, regarding the frequencies of substances we eat, breathe and absorb. Many pollutants we are exposed to lower healthy frequency. Processed/canned food/fast food has a frequency of zero whereas Fresh produce has up to 15 Hz, dried herbs from 12 to 22 Hz and fresh herbs from 20 to 27 Hz.

Following are general guidelines that will encourage your body to eliminate cellular toxins, help to increase cellular frequency and raise your vibration naturally:

Eat Foods to Increase Your Vitality and Reduce Stress

  • Whole foods.
  • Organically grown foods. (Check out the “dirty dozen”. These are said to have the highest amounts of pesticides in them and it’s suggested that you try to buy these items organic)
  • Locally grown foods.
  • In season produce.
  • Food prepared slowly, with mindfulness and with love feed the body and the soul
  • Fermented foods and beverages

Develop Habits to Increase Vitality and Reduce Stress

  • Eating food in moderation.
  • Eating foods that keep the body slightly more alkaline.
  • Be calm, mindful and fully present while eating.
  • Bless the food and all who made it possible for your nourishment and pleasure.
  • Drink pure water.
  • Exercise.

Create an Environment to Enhances Digestion

  • Quiet and peaceful setting.
  • Low incandescent lighting.
  • Exercise.
  • Practice eating mindfully savoring and enjoying your food rather than rushing through it. Allow the tastes to sit on your tongue for a few seconds, smell the aromas, look at the colors and textures of your meal, etc.

Avoid Foods to Decrease Vitality and Increase Stress

  • Genetically modified Foods
  • Irradiated Foods
  • Foods cooked in a microwave oven.
  • Refined (white flour, white rice, all grains that have the germ and the bran removed). Processed (all junk food; most snack foods).
  • High glycemic. These sugary, starchy foods affect blood sugar levels and weight management.
  • Hydrogenated (margarine; vegetable shortening, lard).
  • Containing additives (chemicals and hormones), preservatives or color dyes
  • Artificial sweeteners—all of them
  • Coffee whiteners
  • Canned.

 

Avoid Eating Habits to Decrease Vitality and Increase Stress

  • Eating more food than the body can digest at a meal
  • Drinking with meals dilutes digestive enzymes and hydrochloric acid in the stomach
  • Bolting food down.
  • Being distracted.
  • Eating while feeling tense or emotionally upset is very acid forming.
  • Arguing while eating creates even more acid in the system

Avoid Environments (Inner & Outer) That Weaken Digestion

  • Noisy setting
  • Fluorescent or halogen lighting
  • Drugs or alcohol
  • Worry
  • Negative emotions

 

Essential Oils

Essential oils are another very simple and effective way to raise your vibration naturally. Essential oils frequencies start at 52 Hz and go as high as 320 Hz, which is the frequency of rose oil. Clinical research shows that therapeutic grade essential oils have the highest frequency of any natural substance known to man, creating an environment in which disease, bacteria, virus, fungus, etc., cannot live.

By applying an essential oil with a particular frequency to the human body, the oil’s higher frequency will raise your vibration naturally. When several oils are blended together, each having a different MHz frequency, a frequency will emerge that may be higher or lower than the various components. The therapeutic properties create special vibrational remedies capable of healing or rebalancing the mind, body and spirit. Because each oil has a specific frequency, and our organs and body systems and the nutrients needed to maintain optimum health each have their specific frequencies, the oil’s electrical affinity to these components of our bodies will enhance and support these organs and body systems, and will aid in the assimilation of nutrients.

Essential oils in the higher frequency ranges tend to influence the emotions. Essential Oils in the lower frequencies have more effect on structural and physical changes, including cells, hormones, and bones, as well as viruses, bacteria, and fungi.

Essential oils don’t resonate with the toxins in our bodies. This incompatibility is what helps eliminate the toxins from our systems. Neither do they resonate with negative emotions. So they can help dislodge forgotten traumas by surfacing them in our consciousness where we can deal with them and let them go.

Making the Change to Live Better, Naturally

It should come as no surprise that food has such a big impact on how we feel emotionally as well as physically.  Vitamins, nutrients, antioxidants, etc. are all important in how our body functions on a cellular level. And if we are what we eat, then why would you want to be fast, cheap, easy or fake? Just because they word “Healthy” is on a the packaging of processed foods doesn’t make it good for you. All you have to do is just stick to real food and real ingredients.

Essential Oils can be seen as feeding ourselves from the outside in. Our skin is the largest organ of the body and need nourishment as well. Many personal products can clog up and can be harmful to the body, most commonly impacting our endocrine system. The powerful plant intelligence of essential oils can access our cells in a matter of minutes making them powerful and effective ways to boost our general sense of wellness. However, don’t be fooled, the quality of the essential oils is going to determine the results. Naturally, lower grade will be a lower frequency as environment, harvesting and distillation processing is all important in the quality and frequency of the oils. Pairing nutrition and high grade essential oils together is a great way to empower yourself to take control of how your feel, improve your health and wellness and raise your vibration naturally.

Homemade Flavored Hot Chocolate

When the weather starts cooling off one of our favorite treats to enjoy is homemade flavored hot chocolate. Store bought flavored hot chocolate can contain nasty additives and ingredients so we try to avoid them as much as possible. Making your own homemade version is so easy and a much healthier alternative. Here is my recipe for homemade flavored hot chocolate that my family loves!

Homemade Flavored Hot Chocolate

When using essential oils internally it is important to make sure that your essential oil brand is safe for consumption.  If your oil brand is safe for consumption then it should have a supplement facts box with specific use instructions and warnings.  Here is the brand of Essential Oils that i use and recommend for consumption.

  1. Heat 4 cups of milk in a saucepan on medium-high heat.
  2. Add 6 tablespoons unsweetened raw cocoa, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, and 4 teaspoons honey; whisk until smooth.
  3. When warm, remove from heat and mix in essential oil.
  4. Serve and enjoy!

With essential oils in the kitchen it is important to know that a little goes a long way! One drop really is enough. Add one drop to a toothpick to mix in the essential oil of your choice. Essential oil flavors I recommend are :

  • Orange
  • Cinnamon
  • Lavender
  • Peppermint
